1. Place mugwort at the door. Mugwort symbolizes good fortune and is a medicinal herb that can cure illnesses.

2. Add a few drops of medicated oil to rice washing water, rinse with a mop, and clean the floor. This is hygienic, refreshing, and mosquito-resistant.

3. Take water from noon (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM), place it in a container, and place it on the altar. 24 hours later, place the water in the container under the window in the south direction (Zi Shan Wu Xiang, facing north). Place the water in the container in the south direction (Zi Shan Wu Xiang, facing north) to aid wealth. Place it in the southwest direction (Kun Fang, facing south) to promote Wenchang (literary talent) and improve thinking.

4. Place a gourd in the Zhen Fang (east room) and Qian Fang (northwest room) to ward off evil spirits and benefit children and the health of the elderly.
